What is stonewashed linen?

Linen is a timeless material with many wonderful qualities. Stonewashed linen is a fabric that has been washed several times before sewing. This means the fabric is especially soft and will not noticeably shrink in later washes. With every wash, the linen becomes even softer.

Linen is also a very durable material, which makes it ideal for slow-living products. It is comfortable against the skin because it absorbs moisture well and can quickly draw it away from the body.

Linen products are best washed on a gentle cycle at 30°C, and strong machine wash programmes should be avoided. Spinning is not recommended. Linen is best ironed while still slightly damp.
